For an European institution in Brussels, Belgium, we are looking for a hybrid Full-Stack Java/Angular Developer with strong expertise in Java/Spring Boot, Angular, enterprise authentication and authorization mechanisms, API development, cloud integration and secure application architecture.

Candidates need to be based in Europe within 2 hours of Brussels.

Candidates need to be fluent in English. A work permit is required, but not provided. This position is open for contractors.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Design and implement a secure web application for external users;
- Design and implement backend services using Java and Spring Boot;
- Implement integrations with Microsoft cloud services;
- Design and implement OAuth2 authentication flows;
- Implement OpenID Connect (OIDC) integration;
- Implement JWT token validation and management;
- Integrate with Microsoft Entra ID;
- Integrate with external identity providers where applicable;
- Implement role-based access control mechanisms;




- Define and implement authorization policies;
- Secure APIs and application communications;
- Support security reviews and penetration testing activities;

Profile:

- Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent through experience;
- +4 years of experience in Java development. Spring Boot, REST API design and development;
- +3 years of Angular development experience;
- Experience integrating cloud services through REST APIs.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services.
- Strong knowledge of OAuth2.
- Strong knowledge of OpenID Connect (OIDC).
- Strong knowledge of JWT.
- Experience implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.
- Experience implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Experience integrating enterprise identity providers.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID.
- Experience with service principals and application registrations.
- Fluent in English;
