What you'll be doing

Responsible for leading end-to-end procurement activities across the assigned European region under the Group Procurement operating framework, supporting both existing operations and new airport lounge openings. The role acts as the regional procurement lead, working closely with the General Director, Strategic Procurement, regional leadership teams, and country stakeholders to execute sourcing initiatives, manage supplier performance, support cost control, and ensure operational continuity. The position is accountable for sourcing execution, contract implementation, procurement operations, supplier management, governance compliance, and pre-opening procurement readiness.

It ensures approved suppliers, contracts, systems, and processes are effectively deployed across the region while maintaining service quality, supply reliability, and cost efficiency. Your key responsibilities will include:

Business Partnership & Procurement Support

Serve as the primary procurement contact for regional Operations, Finance, Commercial, and functional stakeholders.

Support the implementation of Group and HQ-led procurement initiatives across the region.

Translate operational requirements into procurement plans and sourcing activities aligned with Group policies and standards.

Collaborate with country teams to resolve procurement-related operational issues and support business needs.

Sourcing, Contracts & Supplier Management

Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFQ/RFP management, supplier evaluation, commercial negotiations, and contract execution.

Implement regional and global contracts in accordance with approved category strategies and delegated authorities.

Manage supplier onboarding and ensure contracts, pricing, and service requirements are correctly established and communicated.

Monitor supplier performance against agreed quality, service, delivery, and commercial requirements.

Work with suppliers and stakeholders to address performance issues, supply disruptions, and corrective actions.

Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and standardization where appropriate.

Procurement Operations & Controls

Oversee day-to-day procurement operations across all locations, ensuring compliance with approved supplier agreements and procurement policies.

Ensure effective management of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receiving, and procurement-related issue resolution.

Monitor ordering patterns and purchasing behaviour to improve compliance and reduce off-contract spend.





Work closely with Operations and Finance teams to ensure continuity of supply and timely resolution of delivery, invoicing, and supplier service issues.

Support inventory management, replenishment planning, and stock control practices to minimize shortages, waste, and excess inventory.

Drive utilization of procurement systems, catalogues, and approved purchasing channels.

Cost Management & Performance Improvement Conduct spend and market analysis to support sourcing decisions and cost optimization initiatives.

Identify and implement approved savings opportunities in collaboration with Finance, Operations, and HQ Procurement.

Support budgeting and forecasting activities through the provision of pricing updates, market insights, and procurement assumptions.

Track procurement savings, supplier performance, and key operational metrics in accordance with Group reporting requirements.

Support initiatives to improve purchasing discipline, demand management, and total cost of ownership.

Pre-Opening Procurement Support

Lead procurement activities for new lounge openings, refurbishments, and expansion projects within the region.

Coordinate with HQ Procurement and project stakeholders on opening checklists, sourcing requirements, and supplier readiness.

Ensure supplier onboarding, contract setup, ordering activities, and delivery schedules are completed in accordance with project timelines.

Monitor procurement milestones and proactively escalate risks affecting opening readiness.

Support site mobilization activities and ensure procurement requirements are fulfilled before operational handover.

Governance, Reporting and Controls

Ensure procurement activities comply with Group procurement policies, delegated authority requirements, and governance standards.

Monitor adherence to approved supplier agreements, pricing schedules, and procurement processes.

Maintain appropriate procurement documentation, audit trails, and contract records.

Support internal audits, compliance reviews, and corrective action programs.

Promote a culture of ethical sourcing, transparency, and accountability.

Leadership and Capability Building





Build a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.

Develop procurement capabilities across the region through coaching, training and knowledge sharing.

Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on procurement strategy and business improvement opportunities.

About You

Experience and Background

8 to 12 years of procurement, supply chain, Food and Beverage purchasing, operational excellence or business transformation experience.

Significant experience in hospitality, Food and Beverage operations, travel retail, aviation, airport services or other customer-facing multi-site environments where procurement decisions directly affect operational performance, customer experience and profitability.

Proven experience working closely with operational teams and understanding front-line business realities, not solely corporate procurement environments.

Core Competencies

Strong commercial acumen with a hands-on operational mindset.

Ability to challenge existing practices, influence change and drive execution without direct authority.

Strong understanding of Food and Beverage cost drivers, supplier performance, consumption patterns, stock control and waste reduction.

Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, analytical and project execution capability.

Languages

Fluent English and Spanish required. Italian strongly preferred.

Additional

European languages considered an advantage.

Technical Skills

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Experience with ERP and procurement systems, with strong spend analysis and reporting capability.

Travel

Limited travel within Southern Europe as required to support site operations, supplier reviews, project initiatives and new site openings. Occasional travel to other European locations may be required.

Non-Negotiables

Procurement must challenge demand, not only negotiate prices.

Strong Food and Beverage procurement experience and operational understanding.

Strong operational presence in lounges and business locations.
