Job Description:
Key Technical Responsibilities
- Contract Setup & Market Integration Configure customer master data in ERP and market systems,Ensure compliance with standards for gas nominations, capacity release, and invoicing.Validate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and gas supply contracts against regulatory and operational requirements.
- Metering & Data Management Manage metering data flows from DSOs/TSOs, ensuring alignment with industry protocols.Apply data validation and exception handling to minimize billing delays.Implement remote monitoring and diagnostics for consumption curves and forecasting accuracy.
- Forecasting & Imbalance Management Perform daily and monthly forecasting for gas and power using advanced tools.Monitor deviations and calculate imbalance costs (Coste de Desvío), considering nominated, assigned/generated, and vigente consumption values.Support capacity planning and manage change requests in line with operational constraints.
- Regulatory & Compliance Mandatory knowledge and use of BOE and all applicable regulations.Regularly attend CNMC to stay updated on regulatory changes.Compile and submit mandatory regulatory reports for gas and electricity markets.Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols.
- Operational Excellence Validate invoices against flowing gas standards and power settlement rules.Track switching processes and manage exceptions with DSOs/TSOs.Support underground gas storage obligations, optimizing injection/withdrawal strategies for cost efficiency.
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Energy Market Expertise Deep understanding of local power and gas market rules, balancing mechanisms, and ancillary services.Familiarity with capacity allocation, nominations, and scheduling processes.
- Systems & Tools Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP), forecasting platforms, and meter data management systems.Advanced Excel mastery, including the ability to create and manage macros for automation and data analysis.Ability to interpret P&ID; diagrams, manage switchgear operations, and apply predictive maintenance strategies for power assets.
- Data Analytics Strong analytical skills for large data sets, including consumption curves and settlement data.Knowledge of digitalization trends in energy operations (IoT sensors, SCADA systems).
Profile
- Experience in gas and power B2B operations, preferably in regulated markets.
- Strong technical foundation in energy systems, metering, and forecasting.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Ability to work across regional hubs and manage complex stakeholder interactions.
