What is The Role

This is a role which will help to lead and shape quality assurance efforts across the Observability line of business, both by defining quality strategy for the organization and by performing a variety of hands-on-keyboard exploratory testing activities.

What You Will Be Doing

- Performing exploratory testing against recent builds of the application and providing feedback to product teams on undesirable behavior. This work may include the configuration and deployment of a wide variety of software platforms and instrumenting them to send data to the Elastic Stack.

- Analyzing testing strategies employed by various teams and recommending specific improvements.

- Coordinating between release management and product teams to determine the fitness of the product prior to release.

- Participating in coordination efforts with other quality assurance teams across the organization to standardize on quality strategy for the company.

What You Bring





- You must have experience using Observability tools in production or supporting teams who do. Special attention will be given to those with experience with the Elastic stack.

- While QA experience is helpful for this role, it is not a strict requirement and consideration will be given to candidates who demonstrate an understanding of how Observability tools should operate in production environments. We prefer practical experience with production systems over software testing experience.

- Above-average writing skills in English and attention to detail are essential for this role

- Successful candidates will possess a mix of creativity and rigorous thinking in order to create and execute test scenarios which stress the product in ways we might not have considered.
