Collaborating closely with our newsrooms and strategic partners, we spearhead the development of groundbreaking products and technologies.About the Role:As a Staff Software Engineer in the Content Services technology team, you will work in a fast paced environment with a number of technologies including: Gen AI, AWS, service mesh, Kafka and data lake storage as well as real-time news systems, automation, web scraping and data extraction.
You will take part in a transformational effort to modernize our real-time news systems and other content systems that feed and enrich our many products including Newswires, Factiva and the Wall Street Journal.
The ideal candidate will be creative, adaptable to adapt to a changing environment, eager to learn new skills and adept at critical thinking.
This position reports to: Senior Manager, Engineering.You Will:Engage in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle to design, develop, test and deploy high quality solutions using the Agile/Scrum methodology and working with technologies including: AWS Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Istio, Envoy, Jaeger, Prometheus, Grafana, Kafka, GenAI, Terraform, Chef, Jenkins, JSON, XML, MySQL or other Relational DatabasePerform investigation, analysis, evaluation and prototyping to determine project feasibilityPartner collaboratively and effectively with stakeholders to manage scope, milestones, deliverables and timelines on technical projectsProvide feedback, guidance,
