About the Role
As part of our continued growth, we are looking to strengthen our teams in Spain by hiring an MEP Construction Manager to support the delivery of Data Centre and mission critical projects in Madrid.
The MEP Construction Manager is responsible for leading the onsite execution of all MEP construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.
This is a site-based construction leadership role focused on coordinating subcontractors, managing installation activities and ensuring all MEP works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards through commissioning and final handover.
Working closely with the Project Manager, Senior Construction Manager, CSA teams and Commissioning Manager, the MEP Construction Manager ensures the successful coordination and delivery of all MEP packages across the project.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Management & Site Coordination
Lead the day-to-day onsite execution of all MEP construction activities.
Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Building Management Systems (BMS) and ICT installation works.
Manage and supervise MEP subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.
Coordinate interfaces between MEP, CSA and Architectural trades to maintain construction progress and programme.
Plan and coordinate labour, plant, materials,
workface activities and site logistics.
Identify and resolve onsite coordination issues to minimise disruption to construction activities.
Participate in daily, weekly and client coordination meetings.
Construction Delivery
Monitor installation progress, productivity and workmanship against programme milestones.
Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved construction documentation, project specifications and quality standards.
Coordinate inspections, quality records, snagging activities and close-out works.
Ensure all MEP packages are delivered in line with project milestones and client requirements.
Coordinate pre-commissioning and commissioning activities across all MEP systems.
Support Functional Testing, Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and final system validation.
Coordinate completion of punch lists and outstanding works prior to handover.
Ensure subcontractors complete testing records, O&M; manuals and as-built documentation.

Promote the highest Health & Safety standards across all MEP construction activities.
Ensure compliance with project quality procedures, client standards and statutory requirements.
Support Permit to Work procedures and safe systems of work.
Ensure non-conformances are addressed through timely corrective actions.
Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination
Prepare progress reports, look-ahead plans and construction updates.
Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers,
CSA teams and Commissioning Managers.
Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors and the wider project team.
Support commercial teams by identifying construction impacts, variations and programme risks.
Requirements
Previous experience managing MEP construction activities, mission critical or large-scale industrial projects.
Strong background in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) installation and construction management.
Experience coordinating HVAC, Chilled Water, Electrical Distribution, Sanitary & Drainage Systems, Fire Protection and Building Management Systems (BMS).
Proven experience managing multiple subcontractors within fast-track construction environments.
Good understanding of pre-commissioning, commissioning, Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and system handover.
Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, site logistics and workface planning.
Excellent leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills.
Client-facing experience within live construction projects.
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary construction teams.
Fluent Spanish and English suitable for an international environment.
