Job Responsibilities

- Lead systems engineering activities to specify, develop, integrate, qualify and certify health management systems in accordance with Airbus Defence and Space standards.
- Define the HUMS architecture, acting as a hardware/software designer and analyst for the development of onboard centralized Big Data architectures.
- Identify the development life‑cycle activities necessary to produce a system/product and provide the appropriate level of confidence consistent with regulation and program requirements.
- Gather customer requirements and incorporate them into the product.
- Define checkpoints and reviews with associated maturity expectations aligned with program phases and gates.
- Elaborate the product detailed design in accordance with system allocated requirements and architecture.
- Integrate the health management system on aircraft.
- Specify, require, and support laboratory, ground and flight tests needed for the development, certification and qualification (V&V;) of Health Management systems.
- Lead data‑management activities for massive information, including data gathering, manipulation, processing and storage.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Experience in onboard hardware and software equipment design life‑cycle and supplier management.
- Experience in software design and development.
- Experience in onboard high‑performance computer development.
- Experience working on A400M, C‑295, SiRTAP or EuroDrone programs.
- Excellent knowledge of development and integration activities from requirements capture to verification/validation to achieve a qualified/certified system.
- Good knowledge of procurement activities from supplier selection to control and monitoring.
- Proficiency with system engineering tools such as DOORS, ICDMS, SNT, ABDs, Eclipse.
- Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and willingness to travel.
- Fluency in Spanish and English, both verbal and written.
- Awareness of potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity.
