We are looking for a Technical Sales Representative for Simpson Strong-Tie Spain S.L. which is a leading provider of innovative solutions for structural connections, anchoring systems, reinforcement technologies, and construction strengthening. Serving residential, commercial, and infrastructure markets, we combine global expertise with local support to help our customers build safer, stronger, and more resilient structures.

The role

Technical Sales it´s there to support business development and technical activities across the assigned geographical area.
This role is fully focused on Simpson Strong Tie products and is idóneo for a technically trained professional in a mid early stage of their career who wants to grow in technical sales and customer support within the construction and industrial sectors. The position combines technical assistance, customer visits and sales support, working closely with distribution partners, OEM customers, construction companies, architects and engineers.
What you’ll be doing
Examples of the topics you will be active with:
- Manage and develop the customer portfolio through visits to existing and prospective clients, prospecting activities, and new account acquisition.
- Identify and generate new business opportunities, contributing to revenue growth and market expansion.
- Manage sales negotiations, monitor projects, and follow up on quotations, orders, and customers through to deal closure.
- Collaborate closely with Field Engineers to identify business opportunities, promote technical solutions, and support the development of new products and applications.
- Provide technical promotion and advisory support for company solutions, including in non-specified projects, assisting customers and key stakeholders.
- Gather and analyze market feedback, customer needs, and competitor activities, proactively identifying improvement and growth opportunities.
- Plan and organize customer visits and territory activities to ensure effective time and priority management.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular reporting on commercial activities.
- Deliver product and application training while continuously updating knowledge of market trends, competitors, and technical solutions.
- Support the review of technical documentation and participate in trade fairs and industry events to provide technical assistance, strengthen relationships, and drive business development.

Required
- Basic knowledge of the wood distribution, construction, or related industries.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and stakeholders.
- Strong field-oriented approach, ensuring regular presence across the designated territory.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage a large geographic area with a high degree of autonomy.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems; knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of wood construction methods is considered an advantage.
- Strong results-oriented mindset, customer focus, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently, organize priorities effectively, and collaborate within a team.
- Demonstrates a continuous learning mindset, curiosity, and a proactive attitude.
- Comfortable working in multinational environments and complex organizational structures.
High availability to travel and stay overnight for 2–3 days every two weeks, according to business
Location
This full-time position is located in Cataluña.
- Base salary: €30.000 to 35.000 gross per year (depending on experience).
- Bonus 10% to 15% full year on sales objectives.
- Company car.
- Representation expenses fully covered.
