Job Mission
The Communications Coordinator plays a key role in enabling the successful delivery of BCE's internal and external communications activities. Acting as the central point of coordination within the Communications team, this role ensures projects, campaigns, content initiatives, and communication channels are effectively planned, organized, and executed.
Working closely with the Communications Manager, E-learning & Engagement Specialist, and Senior Creative Designer, the role is responsible for driving project follow-up, maintaining content pipelines, identifying storytelling opportunities across the business, supporting thought leadership and social media initiatives, and delivering reporting and administrative support.
The Communications Coordinator helps transform communication plans into action, ensuring stakeholders remain engaged, deadlines are met, content opportunities are captured, and communication activities deliver maximum impact. Through strong organizational skills, digital expertise, and an AI-first mindset, the role contributes to the efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of BCE's Communications function.
Duties & Responsibilities
Communications Project Management
- Own and maintain the internal communications, external communications,
and social media content calendars, using our project management platform (Monday.com), ensuring projects, timelines, stakeholders, priorities, and deliverables are accurately tracked and managed.
- Translate communication plans and requests into clear project plans, with defined tasks, deadlines, ownership, and approval processes.
- Monitor progress, proactively follow up on projects and approvals, coordinate with stakeholders and help move projects forward.
- Support the preparation, scheduling and publishing of content in our internal communications tool, CMS, and social media channels when needed.
- Support the planning and execution of Town Halls, leadership meetings, and other employee engagement events.
- Using AI-enabled ways of working and data, the Communications Coordinator continuously looks for opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the effectiveness of BCE's internal and external communications activities.
Content Coordination and story mining
- Support the Communications team in generating content ideas that align with BCE's strategic priorities, key campaigns, and editorial themes.
- Build and manage relationships with the comms team members, Operating Companies and central functions to proactively identify, collect, and develop stories, achievements, testimonials, and business updates. ensuring a consistent pipeline of relevant content and storytelling opportunities.
- Social media monitoring, identifying opportunities & trends, extracting insights and content ideas, especially LinkedIn.
- Support the development of thought leadership content by identifying relevant topics, gathering background information,
and coordinating inputs from internal experts and Top Voices.
- Draft first versions of internal/external announcements, articles, social media posts, and other communication materials.
- Organize and maintain content repositories, asset libraries, taxonomies, and templates to improve content discoverability, consistency, and reuse across the organization.
- Support the communications manager with reporting, tracking the performance of communications channels, campaigns, and engagement activities, maintaining accurate dashboards and providing insights to support continuous improvement.
Required Experience/Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, Business Administration, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in communications, content management, digital marketing, project coordination, or a similar role.
- Experience working with social media platforms, digital communication tools, and reporting dashboards
- Strong with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Monday.com).
- Background in dealing with international- and remote teams will be a strong plus
