ABOUT THE ROLEThe purpose of this position is to manage the store construction, and maintenance process for 30+ retail stores in Europe. Direct the store construction process and manage store maintenance for future European stores.WHAT YOU’LL DOSTORE CONSTRUCTION FUNCTIONSFully liaise with the corporate design/construction department for consistent store implementation throughout Europe.Review architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans for accuracy and completeness.Periodic site visits to new stores under development/construction or maintenance issues.Manage the construction process including vendor purchase orders and management.Establish construction budgetsGenerate construction timelines and schedulesCoordinate bids, qualify new contractors and contract reviewPlan, review, and value engineer construction details when requestedReview and analyse bid proposals, contracts, invoices & change ordersEnsure construction projects are completed within budget and on schedule, including all documentation to submit for approvalUpdate and final completion of Budget to Presente Sheet within 30 days of opening for discussion with CorporateSource new contractorsManage store construction process and turnover of store to retail operations teamPrepare and maintain project folders and filesPrepare purchase orders, including all change orders for vendors and contractors and update the Budget vs Actual in US $$ each PO or invoice to maintain current cost of projectsVisit sites as dictated by the construction processPrepare punch lists at site visits for vendors and contractors and complete follow through within 30 days of openingAssist in the collection of tenant improvement allowances from landlordCollect and prepare final close-out documents from contractors, vendors as required by landlordSTORE MAINTENANCE FUNCTIONSMaintain and organise various service vendors,



programs and suppliesResponsible for establishing and maintaining official documents and records in appropriate files regarding store maintenance.Direct service calls regarding store issues which may be resolved or referred to proper person for resolution.Perform such other duties as may be assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYResponsible for Facilities and Safety Co-ordinatorWHAT YOU’LL BRINGBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related fieldDemonstrable experience in retail construction and facilities management (retail background is required).Demonstrable project management experience.Strong understanding of construction processes, budgeting, and project management best practicesHighly collaborative mindset and ability to cooperate to ensure the smooth running of the department and the business at all levels, internally and externally.Flexibility and ability to take on new challenges.Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex problems and solutions in a concise and succinct way.Organisation skills with the ability to work independently.Assertivity and ability to influence on managing contractors and landlord representatives.Creativity, capacity to work multi-tasking and to solve problems and offer solutions.Self-starter mindset to work on their own initiative and offer new ways of working.Willingness to travel up to 30-40% of working time.LANGUAGE SKILLSSpanish bilingual and excellent command on EnglishWHO WE AREHeadquartered in Southern California, Skechers—the Comfort Technology Company®—has spent over 30 years helping men, women,
