What we look for? We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in Utilities, Customer Information Systems (CIS), Billing, and Customer-to-Cash / Meter-to-Cash processes to join a large-scale transformation programme.
In this role, you will act as the key link between business stakeholders and delivery teams, helping to define future-state processes, translate complex business requirements into actionable user stories, and ensure successful implementation across billing, customer management, metering, payments, collections, and market operations.

Key Responsibilities: Lead discovery workshops with stakeholders across Customer Service, Billing, Finance, Credit Collections, Metering, Market Operations, Regulatory, Digital, and Technology teams.
Analyse and document current and future-state business processes covering: - Customer and account setup - Contract lifecycle management - Products and tariffs - Premises and supply points - Metering and consumption - Rating and billing - Payments and refunds - Receivables and debt management - Market interactions Gather and document: - Functional requirements - Data requirements - Integration requirements - Reporting needs - Security and control requirements - Non-functional requirements Convert business and regulatory rules into clear implementation requirements and acceptance criteria.
Manage and refine product backlogs, helping delivery teams prioritise and prepare work items.
Support solution design and configuration workshops while maintaining full requirement traceability.
Define business scenarios for: - System Testing - Integration Testing - Regression Testing - User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Collaborate with Data Engineers on: - Source-to-target mappings - Data quality rules - Migration reconciliation - Remediation decisions Work closely with Developers and Integration Teams to clarify: - APIs - Event-driven processes - Validations - Error handling - Operational support requirements Coordinate UAT execution, defect management, business sign-off, and operational readiness activities.
Create and validate operational procedures, training materials, and business readiness documentation for go-live.
Minimum requirements: Proven experience as a Business Analyst on: - Utility CIS platforms - Billing transformation programmes - CRM transformations - Customer-to-Cash initiatives - Meter-to-Cash programmes Strong understanding of utility operations across: - Electricity - Gas - Water markets Deep knowledge of: - Customers and contracts - Premises and supply points - Metering and consumption - Tariffs and pricing - Billing and invoicing - Payments and collections - Debt management Experience defining and documenting complex: - Pricing models - Tariff structures - Billing rules - Financial controls - Business exceptions Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
Experience creating: - User stories - Acceptance criteria - Business rules - Process flows - Data requirements Working knowledge of:
- APIs - System integrations - Data models - Event-driven architectures - SQL Experience working in Agile or Hybrid delivery environments.
Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken). C1 level Nice to have: Experience with utilities platforms such as: - SAP Utilities - Oracle Utilities - Kraken Technologies - Hansen - Other enterprise CIS/Billing platforms Knowledge of: - Market messaging - Settlement - Customer switching processes - Utility regulations Experience integrating utility platforms with: - CRM systems - Digital channels - Payment providers - Meter data platforms - Finance systems - Data platforms Experience working in multi-country or multi-entity utility programmes.
