We are seeking to appoint a Geography Teacher to join Maiden Erlegh School of Reading on a fixed term maternity cover basis. Plan and deliver highly effective lessons in line with Trust and school schemes of work.Motivate and inspire students to engage positively in their learning and aim high in their academic achievement.Use assessment information to monitor progress, close gaps and support informed intervention.Maintain high standards of behaviour for learning and student conduct.Create a positive, nurturing and safe classroom environment where students feel supported and challenged.Provide clear feedback, reports and references relating to individuals and groups of students.Communicate productively with students and parents regarding progress and strategies for improvement.Act as a form tutor and contribute to effective tutor provision and pastoral support.Support Extra-curricular And Whole-school Events Where Required.Work collaboratively with colleagues across the school and Maiden Erlegh Trust.The Idóneo Candidate
A good quality degree.PGCE, or equivalent,
