Join Cloudera as a Private Cloud u0026amp; Infrastructure Operations Engineer to own the day-to-day operations of our private cloud platform and ensure reliable, efficient service. You will work with cross-functional teams to monitor health, manage compute and storage, enforce governance, and drive efficiency through automation.

The role blends hands-on operations with clear reporting and runbook-driven workflows, across data centers and cloud environments. This position offers ownership, impact on infrastructure efficiency, and collaboration with stakeholders to sustain scalable services.

Compensaciones / Incentivos

- Monitor platform health, utilization, and capacity across private cloud environments
- Manage compute provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle operations
- Track resource utilization and deliver reporting to drive efficiency and accountability
- Manage quotas, resolve capacity issues, and plan for growth
- Provide first-line operational support, triage incidents, apply fixes, and escalate as needed
- Enforce operational standards, access controls, and governance policies
- Manage environment intake and provisioning for consumers
- Support compute and storage infrastructure operations (server lifecycle, Ceph storage, shared services)
- Maintain operational documentation and runbooks
- Participate in on-call rotation for infrastructure services




- Contribute to infrastructure efficiency and automation initiatives

Responsabilidades

- 3+ years operating cloud or virtualised infrastructure at scale
- Strong Linux systems administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu)
- Hands-on experience with distributed storage (Ceph preferred) or SAN operations
- Experience with monitoring stacks, dashboards, alerting, and capacity planning
- Virtualisation experience (KVM, VMware, or similar)
- A governance mindset - enforcing standards, reporting compliance, accountability for waste
- Ability to author and maintain clear runbooks, procedures, and operational documentation
- Strong communication - translating technical state into clear stakeholder reporting
- Open Stack or Taikun operational experience (strongly preferred)
- Kubernetes cluster operations (node management, cluster lifecycle)
- Server hardware lifecycle (rack, commission, decommission, IPMI/iDRAC/iLO)
- Automation experience (Ansible, Terraform, scripting)
- ITSM/ITIL awareness (incident, change, problem management)
- Team leadership or mentoring experience
- Fin Ops or cost attribution experience
