Health Data Interoperability Lead

Are you passionate about healthcare data and interoperability? We are looking for a Health Data Interoperability Lead to drive clinical data standardization across large-scale digital health environments. In this role, you will work closely with technical teams, data engineers, and healthcare stakeholders to ensure that clinical data is consistent, structured, and interoperable across systems, enabling high-quality data exchange and analytics.

The project

You will join a strategic European digital health initiative focused on enabling interoperability and data standardization across healthcare systems. Your main mission will be to ensure semantic consistency of clinical data, working with EHR systems, data integration frameworks, and international standards. You will contribute to building scalable data ecosystems that support research, analytics, and cross-border health data exchange.

Stack

- Standards & Interoperability: HL7 FHIR, OMOP CDM, openEHR
- Terminologies: SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD
- Data & ETL: SQL, Python, ETL tools (Talend, ODI, Dataflow, etc.)




- Cloud (nice to have): GCP, Azure, AWS
- Other: Data modelling, Data governance, APIs

Key Responsibilities

- Lead semantic interoperability initiatives in healthcare environments
- Design and manage clinical terminologies, taxonomies, and value sets
- Perform vocabulary mappings across different data models (OMOP, EHR, etc.)
- Ensure alignment with standards such as FHIR, SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD
- Collaborate with technical and clinical stakeholders to standardize data
- Support ETL and data integration processes ensuring semantic consistency
- Contribute to data governance and interoperability frameworks

What we’re looking for

- Experience in healthcare data environments (EHR, clinical systems, public health)
- Strong knowledge of clinical terminologies and interoperability standards
- Experience with FHIR, OMOP, openEHR or similar frameworks
- Background in data integration, ETL processes, or data modelling
- Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
