Main Responsibilities
- End-to-End Manufacturing Process Expertise
- Define and validate end-to-end manufacturing processes, including:
- Production execution, tank, packaging, labeling, and inventory updates
- Warehouse flows (receiving, put‑away, picking, shipping)
- Traceability across materials, batches, and handling units
- Ensure processes reflect real operational practices, including:
- Manual interventions
- Exceptions (rework, scrap, damaged products)
- MES / MOM Functional Leadership
- Translate operational needs into clear, implementable functional requirements
- Support definition of capabilities such as:
- Real-time production tracking (WIP, scrap, rework)
- Tank production and inventory
- Packaging and labeling execution
- Inventory synchronization and genealogy
- Ensure alignment and integration with:
- ERP systems (SAP)
- Loading / shipping / receiving
- Quality systems (LIMS)
- WMS
- Shopfloor systems (SCADA/PLC)
- S&OP; Alignment and Feasibility
- Bridge planning and execution by ensuring:
- Production plans are feasible and aligned with plant constraints
- Supply chain decisions reflect real operational capabilities
- Support the S&OP; cycle:
- Demand review – Supply review – Reconciliation – Management Business Review
- Plant Engagement & Validation
- Work closely with plant teams to:
- Validate process designs on-site
- Identify gaps between "standard processes" and real execution
- Adapt solutions to varying plant maturity levels and automation capabilities
- Standardization with Flexibility
- Contribute to defining:
- Global process templates
- Controlled plant-level adaptations
- Ensure solutions are:
- Scalable across plants
- Adapted to local operational realities
- Vendor & Solution Evaluation
- Participate in vendor selection and solution design:
- RFI/RFP processes
- Functional validation workshops
- Technical demos and fit‑for‑purpose assessments
Qualifications & Skills
- 5–10+ years of hands‑on manufacturing experience, ideally in production/plant operations, packaging, or inventory-intensive environments
- Proven exposure to manufacturing processes and shop‑floor operations and interaction with MES/MOM or related systems
- Experience in multi‑plant or global environments with high variability
- Knowledge of MES and ERP (SAP) integration, traceability and inventory management processes
- Ideally background in mining, materials, chemicals, or process manufacturing industries
Key Competencies
- Strong process-oriented thinking (not system-driven)
- Ability to translate best practices into practical solutions
- Understanding of end-to-end manufacturing data flows (ERP MES LIMS shopfloor)
- Excellent stakeholder collaboration across operations, supply chain, IT, and business teams
