VIC Social Work & Case Management Contract (Full Time)Descubra exactamente qué habilidades, experiencia y cualificaciones necesitará para tener éxito en este puesto antes de enviar su solicitud a continuación.Seeking a dedicated and skilled NDIS Appeals Advocate who works from a rights-based & trauma-informed perspective, to provide advocacy and Support.- 6 month role with a view to extend- Hybrid working arrangement (3 days office, 2 days WFH)- Based in South Melb - SHADS level 5About the RoleAs the NDIS Appeals Advocate, you will provide advocacy and information support to people seeking to appeal decisions made by the National Disability Insurance Agency.You will support individuals navigating external review processes, including matters before the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART), empowering them to make informed decisions and uphold their rights.The role works with a high degree of independence while collaborating closely with the NDIS Senior Advocate.Key Responsibilities- Provide advocacy support to consumers appealing NDIS decisions- Support clients through external reviews, including at ART case conferences and directions hearings- Liaise with NDIA representatives, tribunal registry staff,
Victoria Legal Aid and allied health professionals- Assist consumers to build self-advocacy skills- Maintain detailed case notes and meet reporting requirements (including SCORE data)- Monitor and interpret relevant NDIS and tribunal legislationThe role requires sound working knowledge of:- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) systems- External review processes- Administrative law principles- Case management and documentation standardsRequirements- Demonstrated experience in individual advocacy (legal or non-legal)- Sound knowledge of NDIS processes and external review pathways- Understanding of administrative review frameworks and tribunal processes- Experience within disability, mental health or community services sectors- Strong analytical xcskxlj and problem-solving capability- High‑level written communication and documentation skills- Ability to manage complex matters independently- Victorian Driver's Licence- Current Police Check, Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Check- Qualifications in Law, Legal Studies, Social Work, Community Services or related fieldsWhat We Offer- SC-HADS Level 5 salary- Hybrid role (3 days office, 2 days WFH)- Supervision, mentoring and professional development- Opportunity to contribute to genuine systems changeTo ApplySubmit your CV and a cover letter via SEEK#J-18808-Ljbffr
