Your responsibilities include understanding semiconductor industry landscapes and domestic & international competitors’ strengths and weaknesses; identifying existing and emerging standards for Qualcomm; developing and promoting standards; formulating, maintaining, and executing Qualcomm’s semiconductor standards strategy; and working with attorneys to file patents that protect novel IP aspects of any inventions.Key FocusThe key area of focus for the candidate is RISC‑V SW. RISC‑V processor experience developing technical specifications within industry standards organizations and driving consensus is a must. Legacy architecture knowledge is a plus. System software development experience in firmware, kernel, or compilers is a must, including boot and runtime services, OpenSBI, kernel virtualization, hypervisor, Android, Linux, RTOS, system library optimization, and QEMU backgrounds. Ecosystem and UEFI experience is a plus.
