TITLE OF THE POSITION OFFERED: Technical Support Specialist for georeferencing, econometric modeling, and scientific communication.
TYPE OF CONTRACT: Indefinite.
PROFESSIONAL CATEGORY: GROUP I. University Graduate.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Economy.
For degrees obtained abroad (including those from the EU), applicants must provide proof that they have obtained the corresponding recognition or, where applicable, the credential attesting to the equivalence of their degree.
WEEKLY DEDICATION: The position will be full time, and the workweek will be 10 hours, carried out from Monday to Friday, from 10h to 12h.
GROSS ANNUAL REMUNERATION: The employee will receive an annual gross salary of 8.845,34 euros.
PROJECT TITLE: Game Geography and Data-Driven Decisions: Location, Determining Factors, and Machine Learning Algorithms Using Open Data.
DURATION: The term of this contract will be contingent upon the availability of budgetary funds for the aforementioned line of research.

INTENDED DATE OF DEPUTY EMPLOYMENT: from 01/09/2026 on.
TASKS TO BE CARRIED OUT:
The person hired will provide technical and managerial support to the research team on the project to locate Type B gaming machines. Their tasks will include:
- Building and debugging georeferenced databases. Obtaining postal addresses and georeferencing, manually correcting and validating coordinates. Verifying territorial consistency.
- Integrating census mapping and socioeconomic information from the INE. Assigning variables (income, age, nationality, etc.).
- Supporting the development of econometric models that relate the density of gambling establishments to socioeconomic factors.
- Visualization and communication: Promoting the project on social media and producing videos.
- Dissemination and knowledge transfer: drafting outreach documents for various audiences and institutional communications.
- Support for the preparation of reports, scientific articles, and presentations for conferences and for the entity funding the project.
MERITS TO BE ASSESSED AND EVALUATION CRITERIA:
- Academic Background (30%): The academic transcript corresponding to the required degree will be evaluated. 20 points for the transcript and 10 points for specific grades in econometric modeling courses (Econometrics).
- Specific Training (20%): Specific training in the field of scientific communication and outreach will be evaluated: master’s degrees, university-specific degrees, or specialization courses related to communication and outreach.
- Professional Experience (10%): Demonstrated professional experience related to the proposed tasks.
- Languages (20%): English (C1) earns the maximum score. Proven knowledge of other languages will be considered.
- Personal interview (20%): Conducted in Spanish, English, or both, focusing on the candidate’s resume and their suitability for the position.
