As part of the PSL Scientific Computing, you will contribute to providing over 400 simulation engineers with a High Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure, pre- and post-processing means, predictive applications, data management and other solutions in the simulation toolchain.The IT Operations Specialist for High Performance Computing is the technical specialist for the HPC cluster infrastructure, which are high-end computers used to simulate various aspects of our aircrafts.
This role works in conjunction with the Product Manager and is responsible for the optimization, reliability, efficiency and availability of our HPC clusters in an industrialized manner in accordance with best practices,
rules and policies.YOUR CHALLENGESEnsure and monitor the availability, robustness and performance of the different HPC clusters and maintain the infrastructure (servers, middleware, network, storage, etc) in operational condition in line with OLA/SLAsPerform the support processes that include incident, problem, change, configuration, and event management.Analyse error reports, diagnose issues and take corrective action in order to ensure continuity of operations, involving other technical teams and vendors as needed.Coordinate the process of updating the different components of the HPC clusters, the LSF scheduler configuration as well as the deployed predictive solvers.Involve and communicate to all relevant stakeholders including end users, other teams in Digital, vendors & subcontractors, management as well as other Airbus divisions.SKILLSMust haveFamiliar with Linux server environmentsFamiliar with scripting languages (bash, python, etc)First experience with HPC systems (as user or administrator)Strong interest in deployment, operation and maintenance of complex technical environmentsGood communication skillsFluent in English (business & technical), with a collaborative spirit and strong customer orientationNICE TO HAVELinux server administration (RHEL 7/8/9)Technical expertise: Hardware infrastructure (servers, network switches etc), network storage, network flows & firewall rulesIdeally experience as HPC administrator:HPC job scheduling (such as LSF or Slurm)Knowledge around high-speed interconnect (e.g. Infiniband), High Performance Storage (e.g.
