At Nationale-Nederlanden, the person makes the professional. We seek to strengthen our central offices in Alcobendas with a hybrid, flexible work environment. This vacancy is for an AI Engineer in the Data & Business Automation team. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and maintaining machine learning and generative AI systems, and collaborating with data science, analytics, business, and IT teams.

Responsibilities

- Develop and productize Machine Learning models in the cloud using Azure and Databricks services.
- Perform feature engineering for data preparation for Machine Learning models.
- Collaborate with the Cloud team and the Data Science Hub in the implementation and maintenance of projects that use Generative AI.
- Optimize and improve the performance of Machine Learning models in the cloud.
- Work closely with business and IT teams to understand requirements and design ML solutions that meet those needs.
- Document and communicate results and findings to team members, stakeholders, and business and IT teams.

Qualifications

- Degree in a technical field (preferably Engineering or Physics) with a Master’s in Data Science (desirable).
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Advanced knowledge of Python and Spark; knowledge of R is valuable.
- Desirable knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Cognitive Services and Databricks.




- Desirable knowledge of Terraform and Bicep (noted as Biceps in the original).
- Desirable experience in the development and productization of Machine Learning models in the cloud.
- Experience in CI/CD (automation of the deployment of ML models and applications).
