We are looking for a Regulatory Manager to join our Quality Assurance Department in our Business Unit based in O Grove, Spain.

The position ensures products, packaging, and operations meet general food laws and sustainability standards, such as MSC and Dolphin Safe. Key responsibilities include validating multilingual labels, ingredients, and marketing claims to minimize compliance risks, as well as monitoring changes in international legislation to assess business impacts and co-manage food fraud control. Additionally, you will partner with R&D;, Sourcing, and Marketing on product launches, reformulations, and market expansions, while serving as the main contact for health authorities and certification bodies during internal and external audits.

Responsibilities

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure products, ingredients, and packaging comply with EU/international food laws, import/export rules, and sustainability standards (MSC, Dolphin Safe).
- Label & Claims Validation: Review and approve multilingual labels, ingredient lists, allergens, and nutritional/marketing claims to minimize legal risks.
- Regulatory Intelligence: Monitor changing food and environmental legislation, assess business impacts, and co-manage food fraud control with the QA Manager.
- Cross-Functional Support: Partner with R&D;, Sourcing, and Marketing on product launches, reformulations, supplier qualification, and market expansions.
- Audits & Stakeholder Relations: Act as the main liaison with health authorities and certification bodies; support official,



internal, and client audits.
- Data & System Management: Approve technical specifications, maintain compliance databases, and drive documentation digitalization.

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Marine Sciences, or a related field within the industry.
- Postgraduate Education: Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of previous experience in quality control laboratories or quality assurance departments within the food industry.
- Technical Skills: Strong background in Data Analysis and BVM Principles / KPIs, alongside advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Required Skills & Knowledge: Robust knowledge of European and International Food Legislation, Food Labeling (including Nutritional/Health Claims), HACCP, and food safety standards (BRCGS / IFS, ISO 22000 / ISO 9001). Must be proficient in Traceability Legislation, Food Contact Materials, Fishery/Seafood Regulations, and specific certifications such as MSC, Dolphin Safe, CRAEGA, HALAL, and SAE.
- Language: Proficiency in Spanish and very high level of English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Italian and French is a plus.
