About the Role As the Continuous Improvement Lead, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating all Continuous Improvement (CI) activities at the Bilbao site. You will partner closely with plant leadership, production, engineering, and operations teams to identify productivity opportunities, improve key performance indicators, and embed a culture of continuous improvement across the organization. You will serve as the site focal point for the Bunge Production System (BPS) and support the implementation of CI methodologies that drive operational excellence, efficiency, safety, quality, and performance. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the site's Bunge Production System (BPS) program. Drive the implementation of the Continuous Improvement pillar within BPS. Identify productivity opportunities across the site and develop an annual productivity roadmap aligned with Plant Leadership. Support the improvement of operational KPIs through structured CI methodologies and project execution. Promote a culture of problem-solving and operational excellence throughout the plant. Training & Capability Building Train and coach operators and teams in Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies. Deliver Lean and Six Sigma training programs across the site. Develop problem-solving capabilities using tools such as 5 Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagrams, Root Cause Analysis and Standard Work. Mentor teams to successfully identify, prioritize, and execute improvement projects. Work cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Plant Leadership teams. Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing best practices. Act as a key change agent, driving engagement and adoption of Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Contribute to 5 S deployment and sustainability efforts across plant areas. Qualifications & Experience Education Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering / Chemistry, Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical discipline. Experience 3–5 years of experience within engineering, production, or manufacturing environments. Demonstrated experience leading teams, projects, or operational improvement initiatives. Experience driving Continuous Improvement programs in industrial settings. Previous exposure to food manufacturing, industrial processing, laboratory operations, or energy sectors is preferred. Experience working in agile and fast-paced environments. Fluent in Spanish and advance level of English. Availability to travel as needed. Technical Skills & Knowledge Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Power Point, and Word. SAP knowledge is highly desirable. Strong project management and organizational skills. Excellent communication and facilitation capabilities. Good understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial operations. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, TPM, TPS, Standard Work, Root Cause Analysis, 5 S. Strong change management capabilities.
