Software Asset Management AnalystAs a Software Asset Management Analyst you will have the opportunity to play a central role in managing and optimizing software licensing across on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid IT environments. You will collaborate with major enterprise vendors, internal stakeholders and external partners to maximize business value, ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the subject matter expert for Software Asset Management (SAM), providing guidance on complex software licensing topics and producing Effective License Positions (ELPs).Manage and optimise software licensing for major vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, Broadcom, IBM, SAP and Red Hat, ensuring compliance and maximising business value.Interpret and apply software licensing concepts across modern technology landscapes, including containers, cloud platforms and traditional infrastructure.Leverage data from enterprise systems (Azure Active Directory, CMDB, My Access, Intune) to support software asset management, billing, cost allocation and reporting.Ensure transparency of software‑related costs by managing chargeback processes and enabling fair cost allocation to Business Units and Service Owners.Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and vendors, leading negotiations and driving mutually beneficial outcomes.Identify, develop and implement initiatives that generate software cost savings, mitigate compliance risks and enhance SAM processes, controls and best practices.Lead and support complex software contract negotiations (demand management, renewals and amendments) in collaboration with sourcing, procurement, legal and vendor management.Support implementation and continuous improvement of integral SAM standards, governance frameworks, controls,
