Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the pastry and bakery section of the resort.
- Design, develop, and update dessert, pastry, and bakery offerings for:
- À la carte restaurants
- Buffets
- Special events and banquets
- Ensure the highest standards of quality, presentation, and consistency across all pastry products.
- Supervise, train, and motivate the pastry team.
- Control food cost, waste, and ordering processes.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP regulations.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team on menu planning and special events.
- Adapt pastry offerings to an international clientele, considering cultural preferences and dietary requirements.
Requirements
- Professional qualification in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in similar category hotels or resorts, preferably in Asia, Africa, and/or the Middle East.
- Proven experience working in multicultural and international environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of classic and international pastry techniques.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality and presentation.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in remote locations.
- Professional level of English (mandatory).
Desirable
- Previous experience in luxury or all-inclusive resorts.
- Knowledge of modern pastry trends, healthy desserts, and international concepts.
- Experience in hotel openings or pre-opening phases.
