Procurement Manager at Velto Renewables (a subsidiary of La Caisse) in Madrid, Spain.
Responsible for centralizing, standardizing, and optimizing all purchasing activities across Velto’s renewable asset operations, driving cost efficiency and vendor excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage all company purchases across operations, maintenance, finance, legal, IT, consulting, and services, ensuring centralized procurement processes.
- Standardize purchasing practices organization-wide, establishing controlled procurement procedures.
- Support O&M; operations: ensure materials, spare parts and services are always available, facilitate timely purchasing aligned with schedules, secure critical supplies, and mitigate downtime.
- Identify, assess and qualify reliable suppliers: verify quality, certifications, financial stability and experience; ensure only qualified vendors are used.
- Maintain supplier relationships: monitor performance (quality, cost, delivery, service),



resolve issues and replace underperforming vendors as needed.
- Drive cost control: compare quotations, negotiate best prices and payment terms, enforce adherence to budget and prevent unnecessary spending.
- Manage order and delivery: issue and track purchase orders, ensure delivery timelines, coordinate with internal teams and suppliers.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Spanish.
- 5‑8 years of procurement or purchasing experience in industrial or energy sectors.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience within the renewable energy industry (solar PV, wind or BESS).
- Desirable: experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Navision) for purchase order management; vendor qualification and contract negotiation.
