# System Engineer (m/f/d) DNS & IoTMadridProfessionalRegularT-Systems Iberiatsi _iberia## About this job### Your TaskWe are seeking a **System Engineer** to join the DNS Squad, which consists of 12 team members. This role is based in **Madrid** and focuses on the resolving DNS platforms that handle requests for mobile, fixed networks, and IoT. You will hold end-to-end responsibility for these platforms, which are critical core components of the German network, and will work closely with suppliers and DevOps engineers to design, integrate, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot the resolving DNS platforms throughout their entire lifecycle.#### Responsibilities* **Implement and operate** physical, virtualized, and containerized system environments, with a specific focus on integrating a new IoT resolving platform in Kubernetes.* **Analyze, troubleshoot, and document** system malfunctions.* **Perform regular checks and refinement** of automated processes and strategies, including failover, deployment, and disaster recovery, to ensure a highly available and resilient system with minimum recovery time.* **Identify, document, and structure** new test use cases.* **Develop and optimize scripts** using Ansible, Bash, Perl, and Python.* **Implement changes** in test, reference, and productive systems to enhance system stability or provide new features.* **Develop new methods and tools** for data analysis and monitoring.* **Cooperate with cross-functional teams** to ensure end-to-end system functionality.* **Collaborate closely with the German operations team** to streamline processes, enhance software, tools, and system performance, and apply innovative technologies and concepts.### Your ProfileWe are looking for a **System Engineer** with specialized expertise in DNS platforms, Kubernetes orchestration,



and IP networking to support critical telecommunications infrastructure.#### Must Have Skills* Fundamental knowledge of DNS, including PowerDNS, DoH, DoT, and DoQ* Extensive experience working with Kubernetes to orchestrate Cloud Native Network Functions (CNFs)* Proficiency in using and adapting configurations for Kubernetes* Experience with IP networks, routers, and LAN/WAN technologies* Proficiency in troubleshooting networks using tracing tools such as Wireshark* Hands-on experience with monitoring systems and data analytics tools, such as Prometheus and Medusa* Experience working within a Telco company is preferred#### Nice to Have Skills* Very good analytical skills combined with strong quality awareness* Experience in classic and agile forms of cooperation### About Us**T‐Systems** is part of the Deutsche Telekom Group, with around 30.000 employees worldwide.
