About the Role At The Agent, data is at the core of how we help fashion brands grow on marketplaces. As our Business Data Analyst, you will turn raw marketplace data into clear, actionable insights — building the dashboards and analytical tools that empower our teams to make better decisions, faster, and supporting the data projects that underpin our modular digital platform. You will proactively identify patterns, anomalies and opportunities, not just respond to business requests.
You will work at the intersection of data, operations and platform development — collaborating daily with business and BAM teams to surface meaningful insights, and contributing to the ongoing build‑out of our internal digital platform alongside our tech and IT partners.
Main Responsibilities 1. Business Intelligence & Dashboard Development
Design, build, and maintain BI dashboards to support performance monitoring and decision‑making across marketplaces (Zalando, About You, La Redoute, Amazon and others)
Ensure dashboards are intuitive, actionable, and embedded in the daily decision‑making routines of business and operational teams
Shift reporting from static exports toward insight‑driven storytelling — moving teams from “what happened” to “so what and what next”
Support and coach an apprentice on routine data and BI tasks, ensuring quality and continuity of reporting deliverables
- Data Quality, Analysis & Team Support
Ensure the quality, consistency, and availability of data across our systems and marketplace integrations
Act as the go‑to data resource for business teams (BAM, supply, content, marketing) — answering ad hoc analytical questions, building bespoke analyses,
and translating data into concrete recommendations
Propose and implement concrete improvements to data management practices and reporting workflows
Contribute to the standardisation and partial automation of recurring data pipelines and reporting routines
- Digital Platform & Data Projects
Contribute to the build‑out of our modular digital platform by acting as the data interface with internal tech teams and external IT partners — translating business needs into data requirements
Lead or participate in cross‑functional data projects end‑to‑end — from scoping with business stakeholders through to delivery and adoption
Identify and help automate manual business processes through data tools and lightweight automation, in close collaboration with operational teams
Drive adoption of data tools and best practices across non‑technical stakeholders, building data literacy within the organisation
Technical Skills
Strong proficiency in SQL — mandatory for querying, aggregating, and manipulating data across multiple sources
Hands‑on experience with BigQuery and Google Data Studio (Looker Studio) — our core data warehouse and dashboarding tools
Familiarity with e‑commerce KPIs (GMV, NMV, conversion, return rates, ROAS) is a strong plus
Experience with other tools (Python, Tableau, Power BI,
Snowflake, cloud environments) is a plus, but not required — our core stack is BigQuery, Data Studio, and SQL
Soft Skills & Mindset
Proactive by nature: you surface insights and flag issues before being asked, rather than waiting for instructions
Autonomous and structured: able to manage projects from scoping to delivery with minimal supervision
Strong communicator: comfortable translating complex technical findings for business audiences
Curious and business‑driven: you ask ‘so what?’ before any analysis
Collaborative: energised by working across teams and functions, not just within a technical silo
Detail‑oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture
Fashion mindset and knowledge is a plus
Experience & Background
2–4 years of experience in a data analyst, business analyst, or BI analyst role
Background in e‑commerce, marketplaces, or fashion is a strong plus
Experience managing or influencing cross‑functional projects — even informally
Languages
Fluent English — mandatory (daily working language)
French is a plus
Why Join The Agent? You will join a fast‑moving, fashion‑forward team where data is not a support function — it is a competitive advantage. You will have real ownership of our analytics and reporting stack, direct visibility with leadership, and the opportunity to shape how data powers our platform and serves our brand clients.
If you want to build dashboards that teams actually use, work with rich proprietary marketplace data, and make analytics tangible for a business that cares about outcomes — we’d love to hear from you.
