Snapshot of Your Day In our HVDC Control Team, we are implementing, testing and verifying the hardware and software for innovative HVDC applications using lean and agile methods. Our diverse and multinational teams work closely with project management, system and equipment engineering as well as with end customers to provide customised solutions based on the latest innovations in HVDC technology.

In our testing facilities we are the responsible quality gate for hardware and software for Factory Acceptance tests. On site we will commission high‑voltage equipment and control and protection systems and verify their functionality.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Plan and execute tests and commissioning of HVDC systems on time, cost‑effectively, and with high quality.

Manage an international team of commissioning engineers.

Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and occupational health and safety regulations.

Organise Functional System Testing/Factory Acceptance Tests (FST/FAT) at test areas on site.

Monitor, document, and communicate work progress, ensuring a smooth construction site process with suppliers and partners.

Support project management in risk and claim management, ensuring quality and safety, and participate in internal improvement programmes.

What You Bring

University degree in Electrical Engineering,



Energy Engineering, or comparable technical education with relevant experience.

At least eight years of experience in commissioning or managing large plants (e.g., HVDC, power plants, switchgear, power distribution systems).

Willingness for worldwide business trips, long‑term assignments on construction sites, and optional offshore platform assignments.

Basic knowledge of Project Management.

Proficiency in English; German language skills are advantageous.

Strong conflict management, decision‑making, result orientation, motivation, and communication skills in international and intercultural teams.
