Mode: On-site For one of our clients, we are looking for a Freelance Consultant – Infrastructure Harmonization to support an infrastructure harmonization project at the client's site in Spain. The engagement focuses on aligning the local IT environment with the company's corporate IT standards.

Start: As soon as possible

Duration: Ongoing engagement (no fixed project end date)

Location: On-site in Barcelona

Background

IT operations are organized regionally while following central corporate guidelines. The infrastructure is already in place and includes approximately 120 employees, 103 endpoints (clients and servers that are Active Directory members), as well as OT devices such as HP Indigo printing presses.

Responsibilities:

- Act as the on-site interface between the local IT team and the company's central IT organization
- Coordinate on-site activities while working closely with remote operational teams
- Support the harmonization of the existing IT infrastructure in line with corporate standards




- Coordinate activities across the following technology areas:
- Juniper switches (configuration management)
- SRX/SSR SD-WAN
- Windows Server
- Active Directory according to corporate guidelines
- VMware
- Lenovo storage management
- Backup concept, management, and testing
- Illumio microsegmentation
- Transition into ongoing L2/L3 operational support after the initial implementation

Professional background

- Strong knowledge of Juniper networking and SRX/SSR SD-WAN
- Solid understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and VMware environments
- Familiarity with Lenovo storage management
- Knowledge of backup concepts, management, and testing
- Understanding of Illumio microsegmentation
- Ability to coordinate on-site activities while collaborating with remote operational teams
- Availability to work on-site in Barcelona
- Fluent in Spanish AND English or German
