THE OPERATIONS TEAM

SCOPE OF THE ROLE The Data Analyst & Reporting role reports directly to the Customer Service Manager and/or Business Owner. This role is key to transforming operational and financial data into actionable insights that support decision-making across Operations and Business areas. The person will be responsible for designing, automating, and maintaining the reporting infrastructure, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and analytical excellence.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

1. Development and Automation of Operational and Financial Reports

Design, build, and maintain dashboards and recurring reports that measure the transactional health of the operation. This includes tracking key metrics. Automate recurring reports to reduce manual workload and increase reliability.

2. Data Analysis for Decision-Making and Anomaly Detection

Transform payment data into actionable business insights. Analyze trends, anticipate deviations, audit financial discrepancies, and monitor unusual patterns or fraud alerts, working closely with Operations, Risk, and Finance teams to implement continuous improvements.

3. Marketing Analytics

Support the Marketing team by tracking the performance of acquisition campaigns, conversion funnels, CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost), LTV, and cohort analyses.

Business KPI Tracking and Management Reporting

Define, document, and maintain the core business KPIs. Build reports and Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly business reviews.

5. Data Quality and Governance

Validate data integrity across different sources and identify inconsistencies. Collaborate with the Data/Technology team to ensure reporting pipelines are stable, well documented, and scalable. Maintain a data dictionary and reporting documentation.

6. Ad-hoc Analysis and Stakeholder Support

Respond to specific analysis requests from different business areas. Translate business questions into data queries.

7. Financial Reconciliation Support

Assist Finance and Operations teams in reconciling transactions, commissions, and fees. Identify and investigate discrepancies between internal systems and external payment processors.

Legal and Ethical Compliance

- Operate within the current legal framework: Comply with Data Protection Law, internal ethics policies, and performance standards.

- Communication protocol: Ensure that intimidating language is not used and that calls are not made outside permitted hours.

REQUIREMENTS

INTERPERSONAL AND TECHNICAL SKILLS

- 4+ years of experience in data analyst or reporting roles, ideally in fintech, payments, or financial services (esencial)
- Advanced Power BI — dashboard design, DAX, data modeling.
- Advanced Excel — pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas, automation with macros.
- SQL — writing and optimizing queries for data extraction and manipulation in relational databases (essential).
- Python for data processing and automation.
- English Fluent
