DCARBO is looking for a Data Scientist & Energy Optimisation Engineer to support the development of advanced forecasting, optimisation and market participation models for industrial energy flexibility. We are looking for a motivated and curious person who enjoys solving complex challenges and transforming research ideas into practical tools.

The successful candidate will play a central role in the development of the modelling engines behind advance energy management platforms including demand-side grid flexibility and energy planning.

Your responsibilities will include

Develop optimisation models for industrial energy systems and thermal energy storage.

Build forecasting models for energy demand, renewable generation and market prices.

Develop machine learning and AI solutions.

Support the implementation of flexibility strategies for energy markets including bidding.

Contribute to techno-economic modelling and scenario analysis.





Collaborate with software engineers to deploy models into production environments.

Participate in European research and innovation projects.

Required Skills

Strong machine learning background.

Experience with data science workflows and model development.

Experience handling large datasets.

Ability to work independently and learn new concepts rapidly.
