Role purpose

Design, structure, and develop customer-focused technical and techno-commercial offers for qualified project opportunities. This role connects customer requirements, technical feasibility, cost competitiveness, and Schneider Electric’s value proposition into compliant, reliable, and executable offers.

As Tender Engineer in Secure Power, you will work on project opportunities where every offer brings together customer needs, technical thinking, commercial balance, and execution reality.

You will help turn complex requirements into offers that are technically sound, competitive, and ready to deliver in practice. That means working closely with different teams, understanding what really matters in each opportunity, and contributing to solutions that can make a visible difference for both the customer and the business.

You will be part of the Tendering Team, working at the intersection of solution design, competitiveness, and execution, in close collaboration with Sales, Operations, Finance, Purchasing, Engineering, and technical experts.

? Technical scope & responsibilities

- Analyze low-to-medium complexity RFQs, understand customer requirements, and translate them into clear technical specifications and offer concepts.
- Develop detailed tenders and techno-commercial proposals for UPS and Cooling solutions, including technical configuration, sizing, and cost estimation
- Review and clarify customer requirements related to Data Centre, HVAC, Cooling systems, UPS, and Secure Power environments, integrating them into compliant offer solutions
- Work closely with Sales to understand the project scope, specifications, customer needs, and key success factors
- Prepare competitive and cost-effective offers aligned with customer requirements, internal policies, governance rules, and tendering processes
- Build proposals using standard tools and processes, integrating validated technical, commercial, and financial inputs
- Prepare detailed cost analysis based on bid competitiveness, technical constraints, and value proposition
- Coordinate with Sales, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and other stakeholders to define the optimized offer solution
- Ensure offer quality, documentation accuracy, deadline compliance, and alignment with customer expectations
- Support risk analysis, offer review, tender submittal review, escalation workflows, and approval processes according to Delegation of Authority rules
- Ensure proper handover of awarded opportunities to execution or operations teams
- Take an active role in improving how offers are developed, showing curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to simplify processes, improve consistency, and strengthen quality and responsiveness

? What we are looking for Experience & technical background

- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience in Tendering, Bid & Proposal, Solution Design, Technical Sales, Project Engineering, or similar customer-facing technical roles.




- Knowledge of Data Centre, HVAC systems, cooling systems, UPS, and Secure Power solutions.
- Ability to create technically reliable and commercially competitive offers based on customer specifications, standards, procedures, and company guidelines.
- Good understanding of tender documentation, contractual terms, technical requirements, and customer specifications.
- Ability to balance technical feasibility, cost competitiveness, risk, and customer value.

Commercial, digital & data skills

- Strong customer orientation and business mindset
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work under deadlines with structure and attention to quality
- Strong digital mindset, with confidence using business tools and working in digital environments
- Experience with Salesforce, SAP, Power BI, or similar tools is highly valued
- Ability to use data, KPIs, and business insights to support decision-making, improve proposal quality, and strengthen competitiveness
- Curiosity and proactivity to identify opportunities to simplify work, improve consistency, and make better use of digital tools and data across the tendering process

Languages

- Spanish and English mandatory.
- Portuguese will be a plus.
