Our vision is to establish Deutsche Kreditbank (DKB) as the choice for an irresistible banking experience. We create intuitive, customer‑centric digital products that make banking a seamless and reliable experience for everyone. As fearless pioneers of the DKB group, our mission is to encourage experimentation and continuously challenge the status quo.

Founded in 2018, we collaborate in cross‑functional product teams with colleagues from DKB to build digital solutions for private and business customers. Additionally, we also support in developing software to digitalize processes within DKB, being used by our own colleagues!

Code Factory has evolved beyond employing just developers. We are the go‑to company for UX and UI expertise, have an in‑house research team, analyse data, and are guided through the complete digital product development by our agile methodologies chapter.

Lead and scale a high‑performing engineering team dedicated to transforming the business customer onboarding experience at DKB Code Factory. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence engineering practices, develop leadership skills, and deliver impactful digital solutions within a dynamic, agile environment.

Your Responsibilities

Drive predictable, high‑quality delivery with strong risk and dependency management.

Establish and enforce engineering standards for code quality, testing, and production readiness.

Lead people management activities including coaching, feedback, and career development.

Build and maintain a motivated, accountable, and psychologically safe team culture.





Develop and maintain a 12‑month technical roadmap aligned with business and platform strategies.

Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Tech Leads, DevOps, and cross‑functional teams.

Manage hiring, onboarding, and ramp‑up of new team members to ensure rapid productivity.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an engineering manager or similar leadership role in software development.

Strong technical background with ability to review and challenge technical designs.

Deep understanding of software delivery processes, testing strategies, and production readiness.

Demonstrated success in people management, coaching, and building high‑performing teams.

Excellent decision‑making and prioritization skills in complex delivery environments.

Experience with Java, Spring, RestAPI, AWS (Kafka, Postgres), GrafanaCloud, and cloud‑native development.

Familiarity with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and SaaS‑first approaches.

Strong collaboration and communication skills with a growth mindset.
