Position Overview The Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Specialist is responsible for the operation, optimization, and continuous enhancement of the enterprise Data Governance Platform, with a primary focus on Informatica Cloud Data Governance Catalog (CDGC) and Cloud Data Quality (CDQ). The role ensures that enterprise data is trusted, discoverable, and governed by driving high-quality metadata management, robust data quality controls, and complete end-to-end data lineage. As a key technical authority, the EDM Specialist manages metadata ingestion, API-driven integrations, platform monitoring, and service account governance while enabling advanced data observability capabilities.

The role adopts an AI-first mindset, using Generative AI, AI agents, and automation to reduce manual effort, improve consistency, and accelerate delivery.

Responsibilities

- Configure, automate, and manage data quality rules and monitoring frameworks within CDQ, using AI-based anomaly detection.

- Use AI to ensure accurate capture, validation, and maintenance of end-to-end data lineage, supporting impact analysis and regulatory transparency.

- Define and implement data observability metrics (e.g., completeness, freshness, accuracy, reliability) and report through dashboards using AI tools.

- Use AI assistants and agents to generate and maintain business glossaries, data asset descriptions, and stewardship documentation, proposing and pre-populating data quality rules and policies.

- Collaborate with data stewards and business stakeholders to drive adoption of catalog and governance capabilities, including training users on AI-assisted catalog features.

- Manage platform access, including user roles, permissions, and service account lifecycle management (creation, credential governance, rotation, and compliance adherence).

- Design, configure, and optimize metadata ingestion processes using Informatica connectors, APIs, and custom integration patterns.





- Execute and maintain API/MCP-based read and write operations to enable automated metadata ingestion, enrichment, and governance workflows.

- Monitor and ensure reliability of scanning processes, ingestion pipelines, API activity, and platform performance; troubleshoot and resolve issues related to metadata ingestion, API integrations, authentication, and service account access.

- Act as a subject matter expert and second-line support, coordinating with platform administrators and Informatica vendor support for complex incidents.

- Use AI to document standards, processes, and best practices to ensure scalability, consistency, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.

- Hands‑on expertise with Informatica IDMC, specifically MCC, CDGC, and CDQ.

- Deep understanding of metadata management and enterprise data cataloging, including metadata models, classifications, and glossaries.

- Experience designing and implementing data quality rules, data lineage, impact analysis, and governance frameworks.

- Experience with enterprise data platforms (e.g., data warehouses, ETL/ELT tools, cloud ecosystems). SQL skills and solid understanding of data structures.

- Experience with API integration and automation (REST APIs, MCP frameworks).

- Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, service principals).

- Practical experience with Generative AI, including coding and agentic workflows,



and ability to use AI tools to automate repetitive technical tasks.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

Technical & AI-related

- Experience with additional data governance/catalog solutions (e.g., Collibra, Alation). - Exposure to AI/ML-based observability or monitoring tools for data platforms. - Experience with scripting or programming languages commonly used for automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell). - Familiarity with cloud-native data services in Azure and/or AWS, including security and compliance controls. - Experience designing or operating AI-assisted self-service data discovery capabilities for business users.
