Health & Safety Consultant – Food Manufacturing Our client, a leading food manufacturing business, is looking to appoint a
Health & Safety Consultant to support and drive health and safety operations and continuous improvement programmes at their manufacturing site in Zaragoza.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity . Previous experience within a similar environment, such as food and beverage manufacturing or other process industries, would be highly advantageous.
The successful candidate will hold a
Higher Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (PRL)
and have at least three years' experience in a Health & Safety support, advisory, consultancy, or Health & Safety Advisor role.
You will be joining a growing Health & Safety consultancy, providing specialist support to a major manufacturing client. Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation of Health & Safety policies in line with corporate standards and local legislation.
Assist the site in developing a strong safety culture and embedding health and safety into day-to-day operations.
Prepare and manage Health & Safety documentation, procedures, and compliance records to meet regulatory and customer audit requirements.
Support accident and incident investigations, ensuring corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
Develop documentation to ensure ongoing legal compliance.
Assist in the design and delivery of Health & Safety training programmes to improve employee awareness and competence.
Support the completion and review of risk assessments to identify hazards and evaluate the effectiveness of existing control measures.
Work closely with management, supervisors, and employees on all Health & Safety matters.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Health & Safety performance across the site.
Report Health & Safety KPIs and performance through the company's corporate reporting systems.
Requirements Qualifications
Degree qualified, ideally in Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Higher Qualification in Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL), ideally covering Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Ergonomics & Applied Psychosociology.
Experience & Skills
Minimum of three years' experience in Health & Safety management or consultancy within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of Spanish Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
Proven experience implementing and improving Health & Safety management systems.
Previous experience within food or beverage manufacturing would be highly desirable.
Experience planning and leading Health & Safety audits.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset and strong attention to detail.
Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
