We are seeking an experienced
Firmware Security Engineer with strong expertise in embedded firmware development, security, networking, and Linux-based systems. The idóneo candidate will design, develop, test, and integrate secure firmware components for embedded devices while working closely with cross-functional engineering teams. Experience with
C/C++, Python, Embedded Linux, security protocols, networking, debugging tools, and firmware validation is highly preferred. Key Requirements
Strong experience in
Embedded Firmware Development and Software Engineering. Hands‑on experience with
C, C++ (11/14), Python, and TCL programming languages. Experience with concurrent programming, multithreaded, and multi-process systems . Strong understanding of firmware architecture, software design patterns, and scalable embedded software design . Hands‑on experience with
HTTP/REST APIs and secure web services . Good knowledge of
Assembly (when required), RTOS concepts, and embedded systems development . Strong experience working in
Linux (embedded and development environments), Windows, and macOS . Experience with
Git/GitHub version control systems. Hands‑on debugging experience using
JTAG, GDB, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and memory debugging tools .
Experience with unit testing frameworks (GTest/GMock) . Experience using
Make, CMake , and
Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools . Familiarity with
GCC ARM toolchains, package managers (apt, pip), and Docker-based development environments . Strong understanding of authentication and authorization technologies including Kerberos, SASL, and LDAP . Experience implementing
TLS/SSL, OpenSSL, PKI, certificate management, and secure communication protocols . Knowledge of
HTTPS, Secure REST APIs, and embedded security best practices . Experience using
Wireshark for networking analysis, packet capture, and protocol debugging. Hands‑on experience with
Yocto for Embedded Linux image customization and layer integration.
Experience with firmware testing, validation, bug fixing, system integration, and prototype support . Ability to analyze software changes, resolve manufacturing and prototype issues, and collaborate with firmware, software, and hardware engineering teams. Excellent problem‑solving, debugging, and analytical skills. Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Fluent
English is required; additional European languages are a plus.
