Founder's Associate (Part-time, Freelance)

AxiØm is a founder-led technology business working with startups and SMEs across software engineering, product development and emerging technologies. We're in the early stages of building the company. That means you won't inherit processes — you'll help create them.

You'll work directly with the founder across every part of the business: client delivery, operations, research, and growth. No two weeks look the same. One day you'll coordinate a client follow-up, the next you'll investigate a production issue, research a new market or help streamline how we work.

The common thread: you'll figure things out, take ownership, and make things move. This is an idóneo role for someone early in their career who wants to learn how a technology business works from the inside — with a clear path to grow into a Chief of Staff or Operations leadership role as the company expands. WHAT YOU'LL DO

Your responsibilities will evolve, but here's what a typical week might look like: Client Operations (~35%)

- Coordinate client follow-ups and keep projects moving between clients and developers
- Prepare meeting notes and action items
- Respond to customer enquiries and support requests
- Help deliver an excellent, reliable client experience Research & Business Development (~25%)
- Conduct market and competitor research
- Build and maintain prospect lists
- Support client outreach and follow-up sequences
- Organise documentation and internal knowledge Technical Investigation (~20%)
- Reproduce reported bugs and investigate issues using logs, documentation and AI tools
- Navigate codebases and technical documentation to understand how things work — you won't write production code, but you'll learn to read it
- Prepare clear bug reports and technical summaries for developers
- Coordinate with developers when technical work is needed Operations & Founder Support (~20%)
- Help organise priorities and day-to-day operations
- Coordinate internal initiatives and cross-project logistics
- Handle administrative and operational tasks that keep the business running smoothly

You don't need to meet every requirement. We're much more interested in curiosity, initiative and ownership than a perfect CV. Essential

- Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written
- Based in Europe — we need time zone overlap (CET ±1) for real-time collaboration, and occasional in-person work in Switzerland or Barcelona
- Comfortable working remotely and independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication — you'll be the bridge between the founder, clients and developers
- Highly organised and reliable
- Curious and proactive — you ask questions, look things up, and figure things out before being asked
- Technically curious — you're comfortable learning to navigate codebases, read logs and use technical documentation. No software development experience required, but a genuine interest in understanding how software works is essential
- Comfortable using AI tools to investigate problems and improve your own productivity Nice to have
- Spanish (spoken and/or written) — several clients and partners are based in Spain
- Experience working in a startup or small company
- Basic familiarity with software development workflows

- Freelance / contractor basis
- 20–40% workload (1–2 days per week)
- Fully remote within Europe (Switzerland or Barcelona preferred for occasional in-person work)
- Flexible working hours — we care about outcomes, not schedules
- Mostly asynchronous communication (Slack, email), with 1–2 short video calls per week
- Expected response time during working hours: same day for most things, within a few hours for client-facing items
- Some work may be time-sensitive depending on client requests
- Occasional travel within Europe for client meetings or working sessions (a few times per year) COMPENSATION

CHF 1,000–2,000 per month, depending on workload (20–40%) and experience.

This is pro-rated from a full-time equivalent of CHF 5,000/month. As the role grows in scope and responsibility, compensation is expected to evolve accordingly. WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT
