Join Scylla as a

Hotel Manager and take a leading role in creating exceptional guest and crew experiences onboard our river cruise ships. In this highly visible and responsible position, you will oversee all on board hotel operations, guide department heads, support an international team, and ensure smooth and efficient daily operations. Your leadership helps make every cruise comfortable, welcoming, and unforgettable for our guests.

Your responsibilities

Lead and motivate the entire hotel team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

Represent Scylla service standards and culture

Coach and mentor Heads of Departments to ensure strong leadership throughout the operation.

Promote teamwork, professionalism, and cultural awareness onboard.

Be a visible, approachable, and supportive leader for the crew.

Manage the entire hotel operations on board according company standards and oversee all daily tasks across departments.

Coordinate with your Head of Department the upcoming cruise activities.

Anticipate guests and/or crew needs, handle requests and complaints professionally and efficiently.

Manage departmental budgets, including F&B;, cleaning, and guest supplies. Oversee inventories, ordering, and stock control.

Supervise and support all departments, and crew working hours, days off and holiday scheduling

Collaborate and communicate closely and effectively with the Captain, Cruise Director, Head of Departments, and office teams to ensure smooth onboard operations.

Foster open, respectful communication onboard according Scylla Philosophy and Values.

Ensure full compliance with safety, hygiene, and legal regulations.

What You Bring

5+ years of experience as Hotel Manager on a river cruise ship





Strong leadership, hands‑on operational background

Guest‑focused, positive, professional and positive mindset

Fluent in German language A passion for quality, people, and hospitality

Focus on quality, warm, attentive and proactive approach on daily basis

Flexibility, excellent leadership and experience
