ABOUT BRIGHT FUTURE ACADEMY Bright Future Academy is a rapidly growing academy in Madrid specializing exclusively in the International Baccalaureate (IB). We help students achieve higher predicted grades through expert teaching, structured learning, innovative technology, and exceptional academic support.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced IB educator to join our leadership team as IB Academic Operations Manager.
Working directly with the Founder, you'll play a key role in shaping the academy, leading academic operations, recruiting outstanding teachers, and ensuring an exceptional experience for every student and family.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Academic Leadership
Teach IB Diploma classes within your subject area (approximately 6-10 hours per week).
Maintain high academic standards across all programmes.
Support and coach teachers to ensure teaching excellence.
Tutor Recruitment & Management
Recruit exceptional IB tutors through LinkedIn, InfoJobs, referrals, universities, and direct outreach.
Conduct interviews, teaching demonstrations, and reference checks.
Onboard, mentor, and evaluate teachers through regular feedback and lesson observations.
Build a strong pipeline of future teaching talent.
Student & Parent Experience
Support students and parents throughout the academic year.
Guide new families with subject selection and placement.
Resolve academic and scheduling issues professionally.
Academic Operations
Manage the academy timetable and teacher allocations.
Coordinate classes around the IB calendar, including mock exams, Internal Assessments, Extended Essays, and intensive revision programmes.
Help develop and improve our Summer, Christmas, Easter, and Exam Intensive programmes.
Use our digital platform to monitor attendance, student progress, and teacher feedback.
Report regularly to the Founder on recruitment, enrolment, retention, teacher performance, and operational improvements.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Minimum 3 years experience teaching the IB Diploma Programme.
Strong understanding of IB assessment, including Internal Assessments, Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge, and the IB grading system.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
Fluent English and Spanish.
Confident using LinkedIn, scheduling software, and digital tools.
Legal right to work in Spain.
Highly Desirable
Experience mentoring or managing teachers.
Experience in an IB school or tutoring academy.
Mathematics or Science teaching background.
Passion for educational innovation and continuous improvement.
