Responsibilities
Organize, direct, and coordinate the work of the staff under supervision.
Supervise and control cleaning and maintenance of utensils, and the correct use of machinery and materials.
Contribute to the instruction and development of the staff under supervision.
Control costs, stock, orders, and purchasing.
Prepare all-inclusive and à la carte menus.
Take responsibility for kitchen operational processes.
Ensure the preparation, quality, and presentation of the buffet according to company standards.
Maintain hygiene and food handling regulatory compliance.
Adapt to new technologies applied to the kitchen.
Qualifications
Education: Higher Vocational Training in Kitchen Management (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior en Dirección de Cocina).
Experience:
at least 2 years as a kitchen head/jefe/a de cocina.
Languages: high level of English.
Desirable: knowledge of Office (user level), Spanish and international cuisines.
Skills: strong verbal and written communication, leadership and experience managing large teams, flexibility, dynamism, motivation, planning and organizational ability, problem solving and decision making.
