Manufacturing Training Manager | Integral Animal & Human Health | Girona, Spain We're working with a global pharmaceutical company headquartered in Girona, Spain, with manufacturing sites producing vaccines and biological products across both animal health and human health divisions.
They've created a brand new role: Manufacturing Training Manager - a strategic position built to own and transform how manufacturing training works across the organisation.
The role This is not a training delivery role. You'll be joining at a moment when the company has outgrown its current model and needs someone to build a professional, governed training function from scratch - with full strategic ownership from day one.
You'll report into the People & Organisation function and work across both manufacturing sites, with visibility across all of Operations.
What you'll own
Define and govern the training and qualification framework for manufacturing - qualification plans, requalification cycles, competency matrices, audit readiness
Challenge and redesign how training is delivered - accelerating time-to-competency for operators working in complex, technically demanding biological manufacturing environments
Lead the digital transformation of training - LMS evaluation and implementation, automation, data-driven KPIs, and increasingly AI applied to learning
Act as a strategic partner to Manufacturing, QA and People - not an executor of someone else's plan
What we're looking for You'll have a strong manufacturing or operations background - ideally in pharma, biotech, or a similarly regulated environment - and you'll have built up genuine training, qualification or capability-building experience alongside it.
The strongest profiles tend to come from
Production Manager or Operational Excellence Manager who has owned training/capability-building as part of the role
Continuous Improvement Manager with a qualifications or validation background
Manufacturing professional currently running digital systems (e-BR, MES, LMS) alongside training responsibilities
Someone from a large pharma company where this kind of dedicated manufacturing training role already exists, who wants to own the function fully for the first time
GMP experience is essential. Biologics or sterile manufacturing knowledge is a genuine advantage given the technical complexity of the environment.
This role is not right for pure commercial or sales trainers, corporate L&D; generalists without manufacturing floor experience, or clinical trials training specialists.
The opportunity
Newly created role with real strategic mandate - you'll be building something, not maintaining it
Clear progression pathway as the company builds out its Operational Excellence function
On-site in Girona area (split across two sites) - Spanish and English required
Competitive salary - details on application
