Role Highlights

- Manufacturing Technician, Unmanned Aircraft (Fabrication and Integration)
- Location: Valencia, Spain
- Department: HAPS
- Reports to: VP of Engineering, HAPS
- Employment type: Permanent
- Workplace model: Hybrid (3 days per week in office)
- Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required)

Why this role matters

As Manufacturing Technician on the HAPS team, you will be hands‑on at the heart of building something genuinely unprecedented – a stratospheric, unmanned electric aircraft that will set a new mark in aviation history. Your work spans the full breadth of assembly and integration: fabricating lightweight carbon fibre composite structures, building cable harnesses and high‑density battery packs, integrating avionic subsystems, and running end‑to‑end ground tests to verify that every system is ready to fly. Beyond the build itself, you will play an active role in developing and refining the assembly and testing processes that will carry this programme from early prototypes into a mature, repeatable production flow – working closely with engineers to transition new designs from drawing board to reality.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

- Assembly of large, but very lightweight unmanned aircraft
- Fabrication of lightweight aircraft structures/components and building CFRP composite parts
- Development of new assembly, integration and testing processes, and tools for an ultra‑light UAV

- Manufacturing of electronics assemblies and sub‑level components (such as cable harness manufacturing and battery manufacturing of state‑of‑the‑art high‑power density batteries)
- Transitioning new designs from engineering to manufacturing

Qualifications – Must Haves

- 2+ years of relevant experience as an electrical/electromechanical/electronic technician with a hands‑on approach
- Experience with mechanical prototyping (3D printing, using basic mechanical workshop equipment)
- Basic knowledge of CAD tools
- Good command of the English language, both oral and written

Skills – Nice to Haves

- Hands‑on experience in aircraft, robot, race car or similar system prototyping & manufacturing
- Good systems and physics understanding
- Experience with composites
- Experience working with electronic equipment (prototype boards, harness, test setups)
- Development of process improvements and setups to improve cycle times, repeatability, and maturity
- Proactive, can‑do attitude
- Curiosity and passion about technology

Benefits

- Base salary range 6000 – 8000 € per month (gross), depending on experience, and will be negotiated individually.

We’re committed to fair, inclusive hiring and equal opportunity. Everyone is welcome to apply. If you need any adjustments or support during the recruitment process, tell us and we will do our best to help.
