Role Overview This position supports the General Procurement and Supply Chain Strategy through end-to-end material planning, at established prices from qualified suppliers that meet Bacardi quality, delivery and service standards. The role is responsible for managing medium and long-term requirements for supply of materials, driving material strategy and optimizing working capital.
Collaboration is a cornerstone of success in this role; building and maintaining strong supplier relationships and working closely with global & regional Procurement teams to maximise availability and optimise sourcing strategies.
About You This role requires an individual with high levels of business acumen, analytical capabilities, and the ability to build a strong network of contacts internally and with suppliers. A mastery of technical and system skills, attention to detail, and a strong background in Supply Chain are essential.
Responsibilities
Responsible for mid and long-term planning of material availability, in line with the Master Production Plan
Support and manage innovations and projects from a material supply perspective
Make informed data‑driven decisions to maximise material availability
Take ownership of any planning issues that arise due to material supply and follow up actions, especially in the event of material shortages that affect internal production
Collaborate with supply centre material call‑of teams, ensuring accurate and timely call‑off vs. requirements
Key planning representative for NPD projects relating to BOM changes, within assigned category/categories
Be a custodian of Bill of Materials (BOM) master data, to ensure effective and accurate management of products
Ensure on‑time invoice payments in partnership with BES team to resolve issues, if needed
Key contact for material suppliers in terms of managing deliveries, sharing forecast (mid‑long term) and performance
Understand market fluctuations in demand to share insights with suppliers to mitigate risks to supply and/or material overstock and write‑off risks
Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to establish long‑term agreements, set lead times and manage minimum order quantities (MOQs)
Attend and participate in supplier review meetings on a monthly and quarterly basis with full participation in SPM meetings, providing information on supply and supplier performance
Develop and adhere to service level agreements with respective suppliers, partnering with them to ensure they meet required performance
Proactively look for improved ways of working within material planning, with a continuous improvement mindset
Optimise material strategy and working capital to meet business needs, minimising excess and non‑mover stock to prevent write‑offs
Collaborate with key internal stakeholders (e.g., procurement, Supply Centre, SQS) to optimise supplier strategies and deliver Bacardi’s sourcing pillars (Sustainability, Value Chain, Partnership, Superior Availability)
Experience in End‑to‑End Planning within an FMCG company is required
Strong proactive communicator; capable of delivering concise, clear messaging to influence and drive key business decisions
Self‑starter with a strong sense of urgency
Proficient at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Customer‑service driven, with a passion for delivering service and results
Quick to identify trends, interpret data, and draw actionable insights to influence stakeholders and drive business decisions
Sound operational, commercial and financial awareness, understanding the implications of data results for the business
Technically proficient with strong analytic competence; expert in Microsoft Excel, SAP ECC, and Power BI is a plus
