Overview In this role you will lead study teams focused on microwave instruments for future Earth observation missions, driving technically and commercially sound proposals. You’ll coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders across Future Programs, Marketing and Sales, and engineering to shape study strategies and lay the groundwork for mission implementation.
You will manage risks, costs, and schedules to ensure deliverables meet objectives, while maintaining a clear line of communication with customers. This is a hands‑on leadership position with impact on future Airbus missions and proposal success.

Lead the study, define implementation strategy, and set milestones
Coordinate with internal teams and customers to align objectives and expectations
Manage cross‑functional aspects: technical, programmatic, industrial, procurement, costing
Identify suppliers and support pre‑development activities with Procurement
Oversee industrialization planning for microwave instruments in preparation for implementation
Form and lead a study team, ensure clear ownership and timely deliverables
Perform project management activities: scheduling, risk assessment, steering meetings
Proactive risk and opportunity management, budget control, and contractual oversight
Steer cost estimates,
design‑to‑cost activities, and benchmarking with Cost Engineers
Coordinate with end‑customer and internal/external teams for mission study
Be the primary Airbus interface to the customer for instrument studies
Control communication flow and manage customer expectations
Identify resources and ensure effective team performance; elevate as needed
Report progress and issues to management; secure necessary support
Travel within Europe monthly as required
Responsabilidades
Master level education in Engineering
5 years’ experience in Engineering or Industrial management
3 years’ experience in Project Management or integrated in an operational project team
Experience in leading a multidisciplinary team
Ability to deliver on time, cost, and quality across projects
Knowledge of ESA program phases and development cycles
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
International experience is an asset
Advanced or fluent English; other languages beneficial
