Position Overview

Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in the Medical Affairs Group. The role is focused on maximizing product value through high‑quality scientific communication with leading specialists in a specific therapeutic area.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute a personal Activity Plan aligned with the country and brand plans.
- Maintain ongoing knowledge of medical and scientific developments, including products, treatment trends, clinical activities and studies within the therapeutic area.
- Build and sustain a contact network with leading specialists (physicians, pharmacists, hospital managers, scientific society leaders, etc.) and understand their needs and value drivers.
- Communicate the scientific value of company products, conduct clinical questionnaire discussions, and contribute to innovative treatment approaches.
- Represent the company in professional associations and collaborate with Medical Affairs, Medical Education and other departments.
- Provide proactive and reactive scientific communication, ensuring consistency with approved Summary of Product Characteristics and avoiding marketing claims.
- Describe R&D; programs, regulatory developments, and provide non‑promotional scientific information to healthcare professionals.
- Document all off‑label information requests received from leading specialists and other HCPs.
- Organize and participate in medical education activities: identify and support speakers, build programs with third‑party scientific partners, and deliver scientific material as requested.
- Lead advisory board activities in collaboration with Medical Affairs,



Medical Education and other relevant positions.
- Engage in market‑access discussions and present objective scientific data to payors and health‑technology assessment committees.
- Support pre‑approval activities, including engagement with payors, speaker training and scientific support to sales representatives.
- Provide scientific support and training to sales representatives and act as a reference point for scientific queries.
- Implement local Medical Affairs plans: set up and follow up on company‑sponsored studies, registries and other non‑interventional studies; propose investigators and sites; manage investigator meetings; support investigator proposals.
- Support National Patient Plan (NPP) programmes by providing scientific guidance to physicians.
- Gather insights into treatment patterns and scientific activities to inform strategic decisions for the company.
- Observe and enforce regulatory requirements, including Health Care Business Integrity, pharmacovigilance, safe‑fleet and various reporting obligations.
- Collaborate with General Commercial Operations (GCO) on study support and site identification.
- Report adverse events, pharmacovigilance queries, and special situations promptly to the designated local authority.




- Ensure training compliance and readiness for inspections; maintain required documentation.

Qualifications

- Scientific degree (MD, PharmD or related university degree in natural sciences or psychology).
- Deep knowledge of the therapeutic area and strong research and data interpretation skills.
- Professional background that allows establishing credibility with leading specialists (peer‑to‑peer relationship).
- Customer‑focused mindset with awareness of business results.
- Innovative, capable of coordinating and driving complex, changing environments.
- Adherence to Johnson & Johnson Credo values and International Health Care Business Integrity guide.

Salary and Benefits

Base pay range: €38,000 – €60,950 per year.

Benefits include an annual bonus (target‑based), vacation days, a minimum of 12 weeks parental leave, bereavement leave, caregiver leave, volunteer leave, well‑being reimbursement, financial, physical and mental health programs, service‑anniversary awards, and eligibility for various insurance plans.
