About the Role As a NDT Senior Engineer you will contribute to the development of new inspection solutions, ultrasonic-based techniques, and their implementation in demanding industrial environments. This is a full‑time, hybrid position located at our HQ in San Sebastián de los Reyes. The hiring process will start in mid September 2026.
Main Responsibilities
Develop expertise in advanced ultrasonic inspection techniques and progressively contribute to the development and improvement of laboratory-based inspection methods.
Prepare, document, and validate inspection procedures.
Participate in inspection and evaluation projects involving metallic materials and welded components for the nuclear industry.
Prepare technical justifications and supporting documentation for procedure qualification activities.
Collaborate in the research and implementation of new NDT technologies and methodologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline such as Physics, Materials Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
Master's degree will be valued.
5+ years of experience in the development and application of inspection procedures involving ultrasonic techniques.
Prepare technical analyses and justifications supporting procedure validation and qualification.
Minimum B2 level of English, both written and spoken.
Availability for occasional national and international travel.
Main Competencies
Interest in applied research, technology development, and new NDT solutions,
with the initiative to propose and improve inspection techniques and methodologies.
Design and complete laboratory experimental activities with a high level of technical carefulness and organization.
Interpret experimental results and prepare clear, structured technical documentation.
Other Qualifications
Experience in R&D; activities, experimental development, or technology validation.
Experience in test design, data analysis, and technical reporting.
Experience in the inspection of metallic materials and welds.
Knowledge of or experience with NDT procedure qualification processes.
UT Level II or Level III certification following ISO 9712.
Experience with advanced ultrasonic techniques such as Phased Array (PAUT) and TOFD.
Experience with NDT simulation and analysis software, such as CIVA, BeamTool, UltraVision, or equivalent tools.
Knowledge of international ultrasonic inspection codes and standards, including ASME, ISO, ENIQ, RCC-MR, and related requirements.
