GE Vernova is a integral leader in energy innovation, dedicated to providing reliable, affordable, and sustainable power solutions. We are seeking an On‑Site Services Specialist to join our Service Operations Team in Bilbao, Spain.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out commissioning activities for Protection, Control, Substation Automation Systems, and Industrial Communications.

- Serve as the main technical resource on site, leading problem resolution and providing technical direction to field teams.

- Perform Protection and Control engineering consulting: relay setting calculations, configuration of control units/gateways, coordination and selectivity studies, and short‑circuit analysis.

- Ensure full compliance with EHS regulations and promote a strong safety culture during all field activities.

- Deliver customer training and provide installation and service guidance.

- Maintain effective communication with customers and internal teams (engineering, manufacturing, sales) to ensure smooth project execution.

- Prepare accurate, timely, and professional internal and external reports.

- Conduct, audit, and implement quality controls during field activities to ensure high standards and customer satisfaction.





- Support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives to enhance processes and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

- Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, or equivalent) or related professional training.

- Willingness to travel approximately 150–160 days per year.

- Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).

- Valid work permit within the European Union.

- Must be based in Bilbao or willing to relocate prior to the start date.

- Preferred: Previous experience as a Project, Product, System, or Testing Engineer;

experience with electrical protection relays and control systems (LV, MV, HV); project and power plant experience.

- Additional language skills (French, Italian, German, Russian) are a plus.

- Preferred: Based in Bilbao or surrounding areas.
