Overview
Project Manager – Valencia, Spain. Responsible for planning, execution, and delivery of PLD Space projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end management of PLD Space projects from initiation to closure, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and other departments to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables.
Develop project plans, work breakdown structures, and schedules aligned with company objectives and customer expectations.
Monitor project progress, identify issues and risks, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
Communicate project status, milestones, and deliverables to internal stakeholders, customers, and partners, ensuring transparency and alignment.
Facilitate effective team meetings, reviews, and decision‑making processes to foster collaboration.
Coordinate with external vendors, subcontractors, and partners to ensure timely delivery of goods and services in accordance with project requirements.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and quality management systems throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare and present project reports, presentations, and documentation to senior management and key stakeholders; generate documentation for formal program development reviews.
Provide high‑level and low‑level feedback for MIURA 5 program development planning.
Requirements
Necessary
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aerospace, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Experience managing complex projects in the aerospace, defense, or technology industries.
Proficiency in project management tools and techniques, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
Preferred
Ability to inspire and motivate cross‑functional teams; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Proven track record of working in multidisciplinary teams and building productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders; sound judgment and decision‑making, especially in high‑pressure situations.
Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements; ability to work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with multiple projects and priorities.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills; previous leadership experience.
Fluency in English;
experience in the space launch or satellite industry; familiarity with regulatory requirements and certification processes for aerospace products and systems.
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) or relevant professional associations (e.g., AIAA, PMI);
experience with international collaboration and multicultural environments; fluency in French.
