About The Role As a Project Manager for Digital Optimization Solutions, you will manage low to medium complexity projects within the Plant Reliability and Software Projects organization. These projects typically have a value below $5M. You will also provide Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions to nuclear and non-nuclear utilities including software for thermal performance and condition monitoring and digital work management.
You will report to the Senior Manager of Learning Academy and Operations Support and be located at the Madrid headquarters in San Sebastian de las Reyes with a hybrid work schedule (remote and in-office). This is a full-time role.
Main Responsibilities
Full cycle project management processes: authoring project plans and managing scope, schedule, cost baselines, communications, partner registers during the proposal, initiation, and execution phases. Also responsible for project close, document management, project quality assessment, reporting, and improvements.
Per the Westinghouse Project Management Requirements (WPMR).
With the support of a mentor.
Support customer conversations and negotiations for topics associated with assigned projects.
Assume overall responsibility for profitability of assigned contracts, including preparing or overseeing project cost expenditure forecasts and progress evaluations/projections (including Earned Value Management).
Review project expenditures for compliance with project baselines and scope.
Interpret and transmit contract requirements and subsequent changes to develop project-specific deliverables and communicate with teams following an integrated change management process.
Develop or oversee project records in standard databases and procedures to ensure efficient handling and transmission of project correspondence and documentation internally and externally.
Example projects: new customer software implementation and onboarding, software maintenance, centralized monitoring and diagnostics services, and procedure and work package digitalization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in project management, Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline.
3+ years of project management or related experience in a technical field, and Westinghouse Project Manager qualification to be completed within 12 months of hire.
Familiar with the Project Management Institute (PMI)’s Project Management Body of Knowledge.
Experience with project management tools: SAP, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft SharePoint, and Active Risk Manager.
Basic knowledge of nuclear power plants and utility operations, maintenance and engineering practices.
Ability to travel internationally (5-10%).
