Promotional Regulatory Affairs Specialist – Europe (Barcelona, Spain)

Alcon is a global eye‑care leader that values inclusion and innovation. We seek a specialist to manage the review of promotional and advertising assets across Europe, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal compliance.

Responsibilities

Manage promotional and advertising asset projects across Spain, France, the Nordics, and the UK/Ireland, ensuring documents are reviewed, routed, and finalized through the general process.

Review promotional, marketing, medical, and scientific materials for compliance risks such as unsupported claims, off‑label promotion, and label misalignment.

Lead MAP meetings and collaborate with Marketing, Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Franchise, and Commercial stakeholders to support decisions and prevent escalations.

Assist regional teams in Spain, France, the Nordics, and the UK/Ireland, applying written English, French, and Spanish proficiency to review documents and support local commercial efforts.

Drive process adoption and continuous improvement for promotional review workflows, maintaining documentation discipline and compliance with SOPs, GxP expectations, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications





Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacy, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field (equivalent experience considered).

Minimum four years of experience in regulatory affairs, promotional/advertising review, medical/legal/regulatory review, compliance operations, medical writing, or a similar Life Sciences environment.

Knowledge of European regulatory market requirements and experience supporting cross‑functional regional stakeholders.

Fluency in Spanish, French, and English; proficiency in Portuguese is a plus.

Strong attention to detail, regulatory judgment, stakeholder management, collaboration, accountability, and an ability to identify compliant alternatives that move the business forward.

Preferred

Experience with Veeva, PromoMats, MAP or MLR workflows, quality/process/project management, process improvement, SOPs, and GxP.

Knowledge of ophthalmology or ophthalmic products.
